Extra examines the visual dialogue between Korean household objects and Western ornamentation, centered on the lace covers commonly found on kimchi refrigerators. Beyond a mere functional covering, these objects reveal layers of cultural hybridity. By reinterpreting these motifs into a graphic pattern archive, the book captures the paradox of ornamental concealment, articulating a distinct Korean aesthetic where the acts of veiling and showcasing are inextricably linked.
